Matt holds a Ph.D. degree (cum laude) in physiological optics from the University of Murcia (Spain) that he obtained under the supervision of prof. Norberto López-Gil. Previously he obtained M.Sc. and Eng. degrees in optoelectronics, and also a B.Biomed.Eng. biomedical optics from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Poland) under the supervision of prof. D. Robert Iskander.
Currently Matt works as a clinical research software developer at the Indiana University Clinical Optics Research Lab directed by dr. Pete Kollbaum. He is also a co-founder and CEO of a startup company VisionApp Solutions S.L. that is dedicated to developing innovative software technologies for vision science and myopia research.
Matt has contributed to approximately 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 5 patents.
