Birte Graff is an optometrist working as a researcher in the field of ophthalmology with the focus on childhood myopia. 2019 she got her master's degree in Ophthalmic Optics and Psychophysics from Aalen University, Germany. Since then, she works at Internationale Innovative Ophthalmochirurgie (I.I.O.), a private research institute of Breyer, Kaymak, Klabe Augenchirurgie located in Duesseldorf, Germany. Led by Prof. Kaymak the main research topics of this lab are macular and retinal diseases as well as myopia therapy.  Her interest in childhood myopia is caused by her own high myopia, that also started to develop in her first school years.
