Sonja Zinken

Sonja Zinken is a Lecturer in Clinical Optometry and Medical educationalist working at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, the Netherlands. After qualifying as an Optometrist, she worked for 15 years in the UK for several companies and gained her Post graduate diploma in Clinical Optometry from City University London. In 2017 she gained her International Master in Health Professions Education from the School of Health Education, University of Maastricht. Sonja has a special interest in improving clinical reasoning skills and developing programmatic assessment curricula. In 2021 she was awarded the FEAOO in recognition of her contribution to optometric education.

Her passion is delivering educational programmes, to stimulate learning and help students reach their full potential.
